We are having a boy!!

I honestly couldn’t believe it when they told us it was a boy. I was 100% convinced it was a girl. With having two girls I couldn’t wait to find out what this baby was going to be. Last year I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks (which I will get into in another post) so this pregnancy has been something special to me, scary but special. Obviously everyone just wants a healthy baby but its fun to think what kind of journey you will be on with the next one. It was either going to be more nail salon dates, and shopping (because that’s what my girls are into) or I was going to take the monster truck, super hero, boy route. I cannot wait for this little boy and just the thought that this time next year he will be in our home and in our arms.

Not only am I pregnant with a boy, but my sister is also….and she is about 3 weeks ahead of me and this will be her first baby. Which is such a blessing that we get to share this experience together.

We were on a family trip with my immediate family this summer when my sister told everyone she was pregnant. The last day when everyone left Zach and I had planned on staying an extra day with the kids. Zach was spending the day with some friends that were coming down to Hilton Head for a bachelor party…. he was golfing and celebrating with them. I had taken the girls to Kroger before we went out to dinner and decided I would grab a pregnancy test. I will spare all of the details LOL….but I took the test in the Shelters Cove Kroger bathroom in Hilton Head. I had thrown it in the bag and forgot about it while I was waiting on the girls to wash their hands. All of a sudden I was like oh shoot I guess I need to check that!! Opened the Kroger bag…… PREGNANT, on all three tests. I was so happy I couldn’t wait to tell Zach and the girls.

I prayed for this little guy for so long I cannot wait to meet him. I would really love and appreciate all of the prayers for a safe and healthy rest of this pregnancy.
